Friday Fun with Dad

This past Friday night we went to the pool and Mason and Isla enjoyed some swimming time. I sat on the chairs and took pictures while they swan. After that we came home and Mason set up the tent to do some "camping" with Isla in the front yard. She was thrilled and so excited to sleep not only outside, but in her sleeping bag too. Unfortunately, after getting the tent all set up and Mason and Isla settled in for the night, the rain and thunderstorms started and before an hour had passed, it was time to sleep inside because the storms were too strong. It didn't spoil her spirits though, because Saturday morning she was already talking about sleeping outside again. Next time we'll just have to make sure the forecast is clear.

Becker County Fair

Last week we took Isla to the Becker County Fair and it was a bit hit. She really loved the animals this year and wanted to touch all of them. Course there weren't very many she could actually pet but she really had a good time saying "Hi!" to all of them. Here's a few pictures of her by the cows and pigs and on the merry-go-round. Unfortunately, the evening came to a quick halt when it was time to get off the merry-go-round and she wanted to ride the bumble bee but mom and dad didn't buy enough tickets so we had to leave the fair with a crying, screaming, and very tired little gal. All in all though, she had a great time. Next year we'll have to remember to hit the fair on kids day when she can ride unlimited rides for a very reduced rate.

Here's a picture of Isla and Noah from when Jodi, Todd, and Noah visited us a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun and Isla was all about holding Noah on her own. Of course, moms were close by but out of picture range.
