Family pictures

This past weekend we had our family pictures taken, along with Isla's 3 year old picture and Greta's 3 month picture. It was great because the photographer came to our house. The girls were able to be comfortable with the setting and it was by far the smoothest pictures setting we've ever done. I think we'll be going with her again. Here's one of my favorite family pictures.

First day of Daycare

This week was Greta's first week at daycare. She did great, and big sister Isla was very excited to have her go to Kim's. Here's a picture from their first morning off to daycare together.

Greta is 2 months old!!

I can't hardly believe it, but today Greta is 2 months old. She has changed so much in such a short time. Makes me excited to see what she'll be like in another 2 months. She's such a good baby. Lately she only gets me up once a night, which I am thankful for. Once this week she even slept until 5:30am, but I think that was because she was up the entire evening because we went to the Laker's last regular season volleyball game and there was lots of excitement for her. She's started smiling more now too. I'm looking forward to seeing how she'll change and grow in the months to come. We'll keep everyone posted!

Fun weekend

This weekend we were very busy with family fun. We went to a pumpkin patch, swam at the hotel pool and had Greta's baptism on Sunday. Isla had a lot of fun with her cousins and aunts and uncles and was wore out by the end of the weekend.

new jammies

Check out Isla's new jammies to show how much she loves her new playground!

Isla's new playground

Well, it's all finished. Yes, the playground for Isla is complete after many, many hours of hard work by Mason. Many thanks to Grandpa Wayne and Uncle Todd too for their help. So far Isla thinks it's pretty cool. I'm hoping we get some good use out of it this fall when the mosquitos finally die.

Beardsley 5K

Last weekend Jodi, Todd and Noah came up to visit us in Detroit Lakes and we all did the Dick Beardsley 5k. I am thankful Jodi pushed Isla in the stroller which allowed me to carry Greta in her cool "silly goose" front carrier. Greta stayed nice and snug and I think even got a little warm towards the end. The kids did great for the 5k and I think the adults had fun too. I'm already looking forward to next year!

Back to School

Well another school year is about to begin. Ashley will be in the 7th Grade this year. It is really hard to believe how fast time flies. She will be involved in many activities this year some of which include ... volleyball, basketball, Girl Scouts, band, choir, JO volleyball, pepband and confirmation. I just can't believe that it is only 5 more years until she will be a Senior in High School (I really need to catch up on my scrapbooking). As much as she says that she isn't ready to go back to school, I think that she is ready. She misses being together with her friends at school. I hope that she will have a good school year and that she will learn a lot. Good Luck Ashley!

Greta Mae

Here's a few more pictures of Greta. Thanks to Jill for taking some great pictures when she was here. Greta was very cooperative and we were able to get some good pictures for a birth announcement. Thanks again Jill!!

So Cute!

Friday Fun with Dad

This past Friday night we went to the pool and Mason and Isla enjoyed some swimming time. I sat on the chairs and took pictures while they swan. After that we came home and Mason set up the tent to do some "camping" with Isla in the front yard. She was thrilled and so excited to sleep not only outside, but in her sleeping bag too. Unfortunately, after getting the tent all set up and Mason and Isla settled in for the night, the rain and thunderstorms started and before an hour had passed, it was time to sleep inside because the storms were too strong. It didn't spoil her spirits though, because Saturday morning she was already talking about sleeping outside again. Next time we'll just have to make sure the forecast is clear.
